The Motovilikhinsky district celebrated its 85th anniversary

In order to celebrate the anniversary date, the authorities decided to organize a performance, master classes and interactive zones for the citizens.

This year the citizens of Motovilikhinsky district celebrated not only the 300^th anniversary of Perm, but also its 85^th anniversary. Due to this event, the local authorities have implemented various plans for renovation of the district, including the cultural part of this historical territory. Within the concept “85 events for the 85^th anniversary” there were held specific events for each neighborhood: sports and cultural events, folk festivals, youth actions, dance parties in the parks, clean-up events, in neighborhood associations, in schools, in kindergartens, in the enterprises of the Motovilikhinsky district.

The final event became the official reception that was held on the 3^rd of October – the date, when the district became one of the districts of Perm. There were  the concert and the theatrical program that were dedicated to the past, present and future of Motovilikhinsky district.

“Motovilikhinsky district is a special area on the map of Perm. This is the area of glory and honor. I am sure that thanks to the residents of this district, their fathers and grandfathers, Perm has received the honorary title “The City of Labour Valour”. This district combines its great history and modernity. I am convinced that the district has a great future. We will always help  develop this district, because it is our historical memory, which we must pass honorably on to our children», – said the Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin addressing residents of Motovilikhinsky district.

Moreover, Perm City Councillors, the heads of organizations and institutions of Motovilikhinsky district and public representatives congratulated all the guests of this event on the anniversary of their district.

In addition to the variety of events, a number of infrastructure projects are being executing this jubilee year. Among them there are road repairs, the implementation of projects of neighborhood associations etc.

“We have great plans and programs to improve the district. Together with the local and regional authorities we actively take part in such national projects as Safe quality roads, Accommodation and urban environment, Education and others. For example, this year in this district  the largest school in Perm - a new building of Lyceum № 10 - was constructed. The anniversary is the time when we have to set new goals and accomplish new tasks. That is why we are going to continue working in this direction.” – said the Head of Motovilikhinsky district Igor Salnikov.
